John Mander - B. Com, CA
Chief Executive

John has been with Gold Band Finance since 1999 and brings a wealth of finance and accounting experience to the role of Chief Executive. Prior to his appointment, John had worked in a number of corporate finance and accounting roles, including 3 years in London and 7 years as a senior executive with a New Zealand listed company. A member of NZICA (New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants), John began his professional career with a "big four" accounting firm.
John enjoys a game of tennis and spending his time away from the office with his wife and three children.

Kim Jackways
Lending Consultant

Kim joined is an experienced lender following her career in a variety of roles withing the finance industry.

Barbara McGirr
Credit Manager

Barbara has specialised in credit control for the past 4 years bringing a wealth of knowledge gained from her previous roles in 2 of New Zealand's largest finance companies. Barbara now combines her credit control responsibilities with a lending role. 
As an avid sports enthusiast, Barbara is renowned for terrorising cyclists on the notorious Rapaki track and has been seen occasionally reaching terminal velocity cycling down Dyers Pass road.

John Reinke
Finance Consultant

John has been with Gold Band Finance for the past 10 years, and brings to the role a number of years experience, which include 19 years with the Post Office (5 years as a Postmaster), 4 years as a lending officer for a Credit Union and 6 years managing a small financial institution. John is our resident investments expert.
John is a keen cyclist and runner who also enjoys Ham Radio ZL3TRR.

Catherine Roche - FCCA, ACA, B.A.(Hons)
Accountant

Cathy qualified as an Accountant in 1991 whilst working for Olivetti Financial Services in London. Since her arrival to NZ in 1995, Cathy's experience includes financial planning at Telecom and group accounting and projects at Canterbury DHB.
Cathy and her husband farm alpacas on a lifestyle block near Christchurch.

Vanessa West
Loan Administrator

Vanessa has been with us since 2003 and brings 8 years experience gained from working in the financial services market in a variety of roles.
Vanessa is another keen cyclist. Comfortable riding on either the road or mountain bike trails, Vanessa is looking forward to completing the Rail Trail ride in Central Otago.
